I recently relocated to the Nashville area from the coastal town of Fairhope, Alabama where I published the Gulf Coast edition of Natural Awakenings Magazine for 11 years.
I was a contributing writer for the national editorial staff of Naples, Florida-based Natural Awakenings Publishing Corporation and I specialized in educational articles focused on topics such as mindful parenting, progressive education, natural living, sustainability and diversity. Additionally, I have extensive experience in writing effective marketing materials and advertorial for a range of businesses and organizations. As a music enthusiast I also enjoy spotlighting artists who live inspiring personal lives.
Outside of journalistic pursuits, I have a passion for community engagement and I am a natural connector. My experience working in non-profit management, environmental education and conservation biology fostered a deep appreciation for collaborative work aimed at achieving a common goal. I am an artist, a nature lover and a casual photographer that enjoys documenting our family’s life moments both big and small. When I’m not working you can find me digging in the dirt, at the soccer fields or recharging in the woods with my husband, our two active sons and our snuggly rescue pups.
I became the Executive Director of Walk Bike Nashville in November 2021.
